As we embark on this week, be reminded that in everything we do in this life, we are worshiping. When we talk, act or use our body to do anything, we are worshiping either God or something else.
What is that true and proper worship acceptable by God?
“Therefore, I urge you brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to present your body as a living sacrfice, holy and pleasing to God. For this is your “true and proper worship.” Do not conform to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is, his good pleasing and perfect will.”
The word Sacrifice has a feeling of pain in it. You forego or abstain from or deny yourself certain things for the sake of God. Your body is so precious to God that He desires it given to Him as a “Living sacrifice” by you and me.
Your mind is so important because many decisions in life depend on our mind. That’s why your mind and mine should be “transformed by being renewed each day.” It also means being careful about what our mind is fed with. What do you watch with your eyes and what do you listen to with your ears that bring positive transformation to your life through the renewal of your mind.
“A corrupted mind will never worship God.” It will cause one to worship something else.
Remember this, “In this life, we either are worshiping God or something else with the way we use our body and it is the mind that takes decisions on how we use our body, meaning we must be careful about what we feed our minds or soul with”
