Musician/Instrumentalists Ministry

Our production Team is a vital part of our worship and arts ministry, They love to have fun together. Although they are many times behind the scenes players, they are a vital role to our worship services and help bring the message of Jesus Christ to those that are here each week
In Psalm 98:4, King David tells us to "make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth; make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praises." There is no better way to "make a joyful noise unto the Lord" than by using the power and majesty of musical instruments in support of the congregation and choir as we "make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praises."
The use of musical instruments in worship goes back to Old Testament times. In 2 Samuel 6:5, it states, "Meanwhile, David and all the house of Israel were celebrating before the Lord with all kinds of instruments made of fire wood, and with lyres, harps, tambourines, castanets and cymbals." Today we use musical instruments in a variety of settings, including church orchestras, praise teams, small ensembles and as soloists.

He is passionate for Gods work and currently serves as the Team advisor for the musician ministry and the worship team. Ronald is also the a Deacon in church and the Project Manager KCDP our child Development Program (Project)
Ronald is very passionate about music ministry; he is a father, a mentor and a role model to many young musicians in our Church, and has worked so hard to see that many young people are involved in the church ministry, most especially in the music ministry. Ronald’s Motive about Music Ministry
Many of us in music ministry do not come from an instrumental background, or, if we do, it is focused on one or two particular instruments. There may be specific instruments about which we lack the knowledge and experience necessary. Therefore, it is important to build a network of instrumental advisors and consultants to give you expert advice on those particular instruments. The first place to start is within your own congregation. You may have professional or highly skilled amateur musicians already at your disposal. You are most likely to find pianists, guitarists and drummers, but you may also find some who used to play band instruments in college or high school. These musicians may be knowledgeable about their instruments and their use, but they may also know other musicians outside the church who would be willing to share their talents and knowledge with you. The most important outside source for information is your local music store. The staff at most music stores are knowledgeable in a wide variety of musical instruments. They can advise you on the usage of individual instruments, help you decide which instruments would work best in particular situations and help you with ordering, purchasing and rental options. Music stores also have a staff of private teachers who are experts on their instruments, many with professional experience, who would be more that happy to share their knowledge and experience with you. These teachers and/or their advanced students are also an excellent resource if you need to add additional musical instruments to your orchestra or praise team for a major production.

Musician Leader-Samuel Kuteesa
Samuel became a registered church member of Bible Gospel Church in 2010. He is happily married to Mary who is also a girl child of BGC
Samuel served in the music ministry and youth ministry. In 2015, he was appointed Musician leader, responsible for the church instruments and all music functions in the church. “Sometimes I reflect and get amazed at the fact that I occupy this office but realize it is all about grace; it is God who qualifies those he calls,” he says of his office noting that the ministry of music is special. “No other talent but music can connect all people.
It is only music that connects every tongue, communicating with people and God.” And what is his most outstanding experience with God? “Almost every day and every experience is a testimony,” he says. “But if there is one thing,” Samuel says, “it is life itself, for most of the people I grew up with are dead and I could easily have followed their ways and I would be dead too.” Samuel is very passionate about ministry; he is a mentor and a role model to many young musicians in our Church, and has worked so hard to see that many young people are involved in the church ministry.

What Does our Church Musicians Leader Do?
The church musician leader is often taken for granted because it happens behind the scenes; so if all is done well, the congregation worships on Sunday service without even thinking about those efforts. Among the many tasks performed by the musician, three of the most important include; planning, playing, and directing.

Atugonza Linus- Acoustic Guitar player /Music teacher Atugonza Linus is a married man to Justine and God has blessed them with three children. Linus is our music trainer and a worshiper in BGC.
As a Music teacher/Trainer, Linus give music lessons to people of all ages and abilities in our Church. He is skilled at playing a musical instrument or singing and would like to pass his skills and love of music on to others
He believes that patience and encouragement has helped him to teach people music, at a pace that is right for them. He is good at using his communication skills to share his enthusiasm for music.
Linus is very passionate about music ministry; he is a mentor and a role model to many young musicians in our Church, and has worked so hard to see that many young people are involved in the church ministry, most especially in the music ministry.

How we do it;
Our music ministers at Bible Gospel Church have many options before them while considering how and when to use musical instruments in worship. What instruments should we use? Should we use acoustic or electric? What brands and types of instruments? Who will play each instrument?
This is how we do it at Bible Gospel Church music ministry, we work as a team and we take use of all types of instruments to praise and worship God.
